Have you noticed the new Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel that went up down by BU Medical Center and City Hospital? I’m not sure if I should celebrate or mourn the fact that it is the first African-American-owned hotel in Boston. How could it have taken so long for this milestone to have been reached? I wish them great luck. It’s going to be tough attracting guests so far away from the major tourist magnets downtown.
