JP is a hubbub of activity this weekend. It is both the Jamaica Plain Open Studios on Saturday and Sunday (11AM to 6PM – maps of sites are available at many JP locations, JP LICKS, etc.) and the JP World’s Fair.
I think it is pretty piss poor planning to have both events on one weekend, mainly b/c artists who might do both events (like Platoosa by my friend Elaine, kids sweaters – see attachment – & she will have a table outside BOING JP’s Toy Shop) are only able to do one.
Anyway, I will be out and about, trying to see everything at once.
Oh, also, Emack and Bolios is now open in JP. My friend Fred made their awesome sign and my friend Delaine made a beautiful mosiac inside the store. Stop by and check them out. They have great iced coffee (the large is LARGE!) and free wireless service.
