Farewell Teddies
First Teddy Bruschi announced that he would be sitting out the entire 2005 NFL season and now, on advice from his doctor, Ted Johnson has announced his retirement from football after a relatively short 10-year career. These two guys played major roles on and off the field for the Patriots and will be noticeably missed this season.
It’s a good thing Bill Belichick is a genius, considering he’s lost 2 starting linebackers in the last two weeks (not to mention 2 head coaches to boot). He’ll have his work cut out for him and hopefully he’ll find a place for the Teddy’s to be involved with the team this season.
