Best Sushi In Boston

Anyone know of GREAT sushi restaurants in Boston?

I’m going to give my vote to: Oishii Sushi which I ate yesterday. Quite possibly the best sushi I’ve ever had. Even beats the NYC experience where I was erm … a little … altered in the consciousness area.

Can anyone beat ‘my’ Sushi Experience?

Fugakyu and Tsunami, both in Coolidge Corner, are also excellent choices.

Kotobukiya is a little sushi bar inside the Porter Square Exchange. The sushi is excellent and super-cheap.

Try Typhoon Asian Bistro in the Back Bay. Sushi there is just like how it is in Tokyo. I have dinner there twice a week. Best on the menu: baby octopus, spicy scallop maki, lobster sashimi, dragon maki, sizzling Thai steak, and Vietnamese Pho!

No place in Boston has sushi this quality! This place is owned by an MIT grad-architect :). Strange but a very upscale place.

725 Boylston St., 617-859-8181. This Boylston Street eatery serves a bevy of Asian cuisine, including Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai. But its sushi is also a standout

what ever you do , dont goto fugakyu. I was there 3 times and the experience just keeps getting worse. the first time i tried a few of their special rolls.. – was ok.. not too bad. but the service was terrible. the food came cold and we had to wait for almost an hour for our sushi. The waitress didnt even have an explanation. 2nd time we go early so that there wont be any delay. Still the food takes longer and to make our experience more enjoyable, we’re given dirty utensils.
3rd and last time. FLY in the miso soup. i didnt pay too much attention the other times i was there, since this was supposed to be a high end restaurant, but upon closer examination, the place was filthy. food crumbs on the floor, food stains on the wall , god knows what’s growing in the kitchen. but they had these small houseflies all over the place.

im not sure if they cured the problem.. but not a pleasurable dining experience.
