Cobblestones + High Heels = Sad Face

I’m spending a lot of time in the financial district and I love being surrounded by all the historical brick buildings. Not only are the buildings built of brick, but also many of the sidewalks. I like the clip-clop sound of my walk, however since I wear high heels, I find myself occasionally stuck in the cracks. This leads to wear and tear on my shoes. I definitely have pay attention to where I walk here, so I don’t end up tripping.

or you could mince delicately on tippie-toes, as I did all over Paris and other cobbled cities. or wear the wedges that are au courant. They’re less likely to get stuck in the cracks.

Ah, so that is why the wedge is so popular. It all makes sense to me now.
