Every time I’m in town I stop and get cashews from this guy. He’s been keeping post by the old courthouse for I don’t know how long. I take the cashews, still hot in their waxed bag back to California and savor the crunchy sweet-salt. In fact, I feel like one now.

But I have a larger question. What is a Boston baked bean? And where is the best in town?
