My friends, Sunset is a Battle, are playing in Boston this Thursday night at The Bullfinch Yacht Club. These guys are a great local rock band and you should definitely come and check them out. You can hear some of their music on their myspace page. They are playing along with a few other bands and it should be a good night of rock n roll. The schedule for the bands is:

10:15pm Superlow (ex Jumpsuit Jerry, ex No Luck At All)
11:15pm Sunset is a Battle

The BYC is pretty much just a bar/rock club, so don’t be fooled by the name :) Hope to see you there!

So, flying out to LA today, I had my first chance to venture through the new Terminal A at Logan Airport. It’s pretty neat. Most of the restaurants are airport versions of local Boston places. In my wanderings, I saw a Lucky’s, a Game On!, a Summer Shack and a whole bunch of other stuff. Check out the full list here.

It was quite a trip to get to my gate, had to go down some stairs, walk for a bit and then back up. Glad I didn’t need to get back outside for some reason. Sadly, the terminal still lacks a decent amount of power outlets for the digital age (i only saw 2 when wandering).

But overall, they seem to have done a pretty good job on re-doing this terminal, would be nice to see them all re-done like this.

Do these look like ordinary sandwiches? They look a bit glossy and “manufactured” to my eye. But they are oh so delicious. You know why? Because they are not sandwiches at all, they are marzipan candies formed in the shape of a hotdog and other savory treats. Now where in our fair city, do you think you can get such yumminess? Well at Mike’s Pastry. If you have never been, it really is a taste sensation. Don’t miss out on the Cannoli or Whoopie Pie! Yum!
