Got nothing to do for Halloween night? Come see some great musical tributes. Head over to Hennessey’s Upstairs to see:
Joe Carson Band as Jeff Buckley
Girls Guns and Glory as Ryan Adams
Cassavettes as Neil Young
28 Degrees Taurus as The Velvet Underground
The Main Drag as Elliot Smith
Doors are at 8:30. I’ve see the guys do the Jeff Buckley Tribute before and it is incredible.

Well, Rob Petit would love to have it. He is a local artist who is going to put together an installation with the old cell phones. If you’d like to donate, check out this post.

I will give you yet another reason. The Red Sox had Danny Vinik throw out the first pitch last night. If you can’t quite place that name, he is the kid who grabbed a foul ball which changed game 2 versus the Angels. Now that is a team giving its fans their due :)

The MBTA has rolled out T Radio. I don’t leave my house without an iPod attached to my ears, but this should be interesting for the iPodless :) (interesting or maybe thoroughly annoying)
Amy has some thoughts on the new station. What do you think?

Thanks to an amazing pitching performance from Josh Beckett (108 pitch complete game) and some HRs from Youk and Papi, the Red Sox took Game One of the ALDS. Great job guys!

The rally celebrating the Boston Red Sox first AL East Championship in 12 years will begin at 4PM this afternoon in City Hall (as opposed to Fenway Park like it has been the last 2 times). Both The Standells and the Dropkick Murphys will be playing the event. There are some traffic and parking closings in the City Hall area today, so make sure to avoid the area.
