Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at Metroblogging Boston and the whole Metroblogging community!
As just about all of my Boston friends on Twitter have mentioned in the last little bit, it is snowing in Boston.
Free agent and World Series MVP Mike Lowell will remain with the Red Sox for three more years.
As you can see, the blog here in Boston has been rather low traffic as of late and most of it has been content from me. Well, we are making some changes and trying to get Metroblogging Boston ramped back up and we need your help! If you have any interest in writing for this site, please send me an e-mail at metblog at skadz dot com. Thanks!
Two bad, one good, not a great Sunday :(
The Patriots played almost perfectly in Buffalo Sunday night. The final was 56-10. I guess going for it twice on 4th down may be considered running up the score some, but hey, just playing the best we can.
The Celtics has their unbeaten streak come to an end on Sunday night in Orlando. The Magic held on to beat the Celtics by 2. Early in the game the Celtics were down by 20 and made a huge comeback, but fell just short in the end (and I’m not so sure I liked Pierce taking a 3 as the last shot, why not just get the 2 and go to OT?)
Last, the Revolution lost to Houston for the MLS Cup. Final score was 2-1. Congratulations to the Revolution for making it to the Cup two years in a row. (Sadly, they have lost both years).
One of each kind!
At noon tomorrow, we have our New England Revolution playing the Houston Dynamo for the 2007 MLS Cup. The game is down at RFK Stadium in Washington DC. You will be able to watch it on ABC starting at noon. If the Revs win, it will be Boston’s second major sports championship in 3 weeks!
Then, at 8:15PM, the most hated team in the NFL (and damned proud of it), our 9-0 New England Patriots hit the field in Buffalo against the 5-4 Bills. This game will be on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. This was changed due to this week starting the flex schedule in the NFL.
I saw Rose Hill Drive last time they played Hennessey’s and they rocked. They are a classic rock band and they rock out real hard. It felt like seeing Led Zeppelin in a small club. Just remember to bring your ear plugs :)
