Happy to see the blog up and running. I was away in lovely Yarmouth, Maine this weekend, otherwise I would have been posting like a fiend the minute I could. Maine is so…rustic, and so close. Many places to camp and lovely scenic vistas (is that redundant?) – it’s a fabulous summer getaway from the Boston hubbub. But, bring bug spray. I will be scratching all week I fear.
As for the DNC and the smoking ban, I am fairly ambivilant about both. I feel like (even as a non-smoker) drinking and smoking kind of go hand in hand, yet it IS nice to sit in a place where you don’t need eyedrops and a gas mask.
The DNC should be interesting. I am curious to see the effect on the city. My boss and many of my coworkers will be taking the week off but I am going on vacation a couple weeks after that so I will be making the daily JP to Kendall Square commute. Say a little prayer for me.
