be careful out there

There have been two rapes recently in the Boston area — one by Mission Hill and one on Washington St. in JP (article).
Both occurred at nighttime, so make sure you have someone with you while you walk home. Don’t let your female friends walk home by themselves after dark (which is good advice anyway).

Police advised anyone with information that might help the investigations to call the tip line at 1-800-494-TIPS or the Sexual Assault Unit at 617-343-4400.

Thanks for posting it. I might not have known the details otherwise like the car or two men lurking. I think I would (hopefully) generally avoid walking close to two men “lurking” after dark, you never know. We can often get stuck in our own little world and forget to be aware of our surroundings. PLUS, crimes like this often escalate and who knows how violent these two will get. Yikes.
