Fleet Homelink to Bank of America Switch Over
So, this past weekend, Bank of America switched all Massachusetts Fleet customers who had been using Homelink over to Bank of America’s Online Banking. So, without going in to a complete rant (which I have already done on my personal blog, multiple times), what’s everyone’s impressions of the cutover and the new online banking system?
Awful. I couldnt even transfer funds between my own accounts yesterday. Everything was so easy on Homelink.
It’s terrible. There is no longer a real time balance available. Credit transactions on your ATM card are not included immediately. On Bill Pay, you can’t tell if a payment has cleared. The account display does not show the check number in a separate column, so you can’t easily tell which checks are still outstanding. I called to ask about these features to make sure I wasn’t just looking in the wrong place, but was told they don’t have this. They did say they are working on offering these features. I have had it. I am looking for another account which does offer real time information. I’ve come to count on it!
I can’t stand it!!! I am looking for a new bank.
I don’t understand..if you are taking something over (a product) that is better than your own..wouldn’t you want to use the “better”product???
Fleet Homelink was cleaner, faster and quicker to get around and to edit your prefs.
Also, What makes Bank of America think that I want to link my outside bank and retirement acccounts with them. What makes them so special that they have to know everything about my financial position.
If I don’t see changes in about 4 months to the USER side of teh banking web design..I am shopping for a new bank!!!
It friggin looks like the government is designing their website. Want to combine everything, then make it busy and complex and not be up to date.
I am taking screen captures of Homelink so I can remember the day when my banking was quick and easy…seamless..maybe I can sell the schematics to CommerceOnline. I opened an account with them recently but don’t really like their online features..but they are open on weekends (Sat and Sun)..and checks clear mostly 24-48 hours.
Bank of America is a JOKE…like this country is becoming a Joke because not enough people speak up and let the corporate media control their preferences!!!!!!!!
Yesturday as I was walking by the Mansfield branch of this bank…I found a money bag containing over $38,000 in checks that aparently was dropped by someone who empltied the ATM machine…well the bag was dropped..and there it sat on the sidewalk. These was all signed checks..not yet stamped by the bank…and I was very surprised that the Manager of the bank didn’t even call me..or thank me or anything . I saved the Bank a huge embarassment…not to mention all the customers who used the ATM machine .to deposit their checks…this could of been found by someone not as honest as me…torn up….cashed ( because they were all signed. I thought this was huge..not expected..to get not even a reward or” finders fee “so to speak..not even a thank you…
yes..I am surprised at this. And yes I opened the bag…not even thinking that anything was in it. Lo and behold…big checks , little checks…one…being 15,000. What would of happened if this customer in ture payed his employees with payroll checks only to have them bounce. I did this bank a big favor.. isn’t this good deed worth at least something ?
Is anyone having issues logging in? Since the merger of the websites my computer acts like if the Bank of America site didn’t even exist. It says invalid host name. I have tried everything imaginable. I even spent about 3 hours total with B of A tech reps but they seem as lost as me.
Can anyone help if this happened to them? thank you
I had that issue initially, but it has since gone away.
transactions take forever to show in online banking center. blows…truly blows.
The programmer is terrible, and does not understand database programming. He(or they) created a link between payees and social security numbers!. Imagine having four separate checking accounts: one for the candy store you own, one for the building you own, one for personal expenses, and one for your joint account with spouse. Imagine logging onto any one of these accounts, and having to look at all payees for all of your businesses! I am switching banks. Payees should be linked by account #, not social security #.
Why can I not log on to my checking account.? What did you do? I have been using Fleet homelink since its inception and then switched over to BOA homelink. Now you guys messed it up. Whats going on? eDD b tel 781-485-7016
For the last MONTH I have been trying to open checking and savings accounts with BofA. I have a loan w/ them and a credit card. I get confirmation e-mails but no accounts. I have called and at one point I was finally told that I had been denied. When I asked why the girl told me that there was an issue with my address! I couldn’t figure this out since they regularly send me bills for my 2 accounts. I asked to speak to someone in authority and she transfered me to Richard who said he was a supervisor. He checked into my application and came back apologizing and saying that he was approving my accounts and that I would receive an e-mail confirming this w/in 24 hrs. which indeed I did – BUT I STILL don’t have the accounts. Today I stumbled (thankfully) onto this page. Wachovia, here I come!
Bank of America’s online product is probably the worst immaginable. It floats your money for up to 10 days, payees get payments late. . You have no way of knowing your payee has received your payment. You can’t have a memo stating what its for.At year end you get the last 6 months of history. Useless for tax purposes.
Basically BOA, while painting pretty pictures of itself,is in no way providing this service for its customers. This system serves the bank best and the customers least.
