Suspicious Packages in Boston

So, maybe these packages being found around Boston are not so suspicious to begin with (unless you don’t have The Cartoon Network).

Boston.com, CNN.com and lots of other news sites are reporting some suspicious packages around Boston right now. They thought they were possibly bombs because of where they were located.

Well, some people looking at the pictures they saw on the news saw something that looked very familiar. It seems that the “bombs” seem to be ADS for Adult Swim. If you don’t know, Adult Swim is the Cartoon Network’s late night adult programming.

There is even a flickr photo set here of some of the artwork that was used in this ad campaign.

The CNN article has Deval Patrick saying “It’s a hoax — and it’s not funny.” I’m not sure there was any hoax here, I think it was just some guerilla marketing.

Yeah, in order for this to be a “hoax” the [adult swim] people would have had to intend for people to think these things were bombs. Since only a scare-mongering public service zombie would think this thing was a bomb, I don’t think that was [adult swim]’s intent.

Just people over-reacting in our post 9-11 world. In Turner’s press release, it said the ads had been up for 2-3 weeks now, too. I’m just glad I didn’t have to be in the city today.

The idiots in charge of “protecting” American citizens are busy with blinking cardboard signs as Mosques are built in places like Dearborn,MI Roxbury,MA Manchester, NH !…

The real joke is the terrorists already own huge shares in American industries & properties …. and no one notices!

How disgusting that a Hasbro lite-brite is a felony but OPEC owns the White House!!
